The 2nd General Lyceum  Sykeon was founded in 1985. Today (year 2023-2024) the school has 328 students and 35 teachers. In the 1st class there are 5 sections, in the 2nd class 5 sections and in the 3rd class 4 sections.

The building is located at 24 Spartakou Street outside the walls next to Eptapyrgio and very close to the Vlatadon Monastery. It is built on the side of a hill with a southwest orientation. It has three large forecourts, each of which is a court. Volleyball field (volley ball), basketball field (basket ball) and football field (foot ball).

It has a multi-purpose room, an organized library, (2) two computer and new technology laboratories, (1) a science laboratory and (18) eighteen classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards. There is a first aid room supported by a nurse during school hours. There is also a defibrillator.

The school’s internet infrastructure has been upgraded with optical fiber and a speed of up to 200 Mbps.
